Counselling is a career choice that is continuously evolving; that’s why we are pleased to offer our new DipHE Gestalt Counselling qualification for students looking to take the first step towards this fulfilling, impactful career path. Curated in collaboration with University of Portsmouth, the L5 course teaches students how to use this form of counselling to empower change processes when working with individuals, couples, groups, teams and organisations. You will learn how to use gestalt counselling as a highly effective way of treating a wide range of issues including anxiety, stress, addiction, tension and depression, and have the option to top up your diploma to a Bachelor’s degree with our one-year BSc (Hons) Gestalt Counselling course. You’ll learn how to help people reflect on their current thoughts, feelings and behaviours so they can better understand their current situation. This can help them deal with relationship problems and mental health issues such as anxiety, depression and stress. This course shares the same first year modules as our DipHE Humanistic Counselling and DipHE Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. As such, you will have the option to switch pathways at the end of year one, if you wish.
