This exciting new Level 3 technical qualification, equivalent to three A Levels, will ensure you have the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment or higher-level technical study in the education and childcare sector. It provides a mixture of both core and specialist knowledge over a two-year period, and as part of the T Level programme you will carry out an extensive practical industry placement in an early years’ setting (750 hours over two years).
In the second year you will choose one occupational specialism, either Early Years Education & Childcare or Assisting Teaching, where you will build on the core knowledge and develop specialist knowledge and practical experience required for your chosen career.
What you will learn:
Five GCSEs at grade 9-5 including English and Maths, OR a full Level 2 qualification with a Merit profile AND grades 9-5 in GCSE English and Maths. Experience in a childcare setting is desirable.
You will be required to attend a college interview prior to enrolling onto this course.
Please note a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will also be required for this course.
Successful completion of this T Level in Early Years & Childcare will give you a direct route into skilled employment in the sector.
Alternatively, you will be able to progress to a higher apprenticeship, foundation degree or degree at university.
