The Course in Detail

T Levels are new two-year courses, developed in collaboration with employers so that the course content meets the needs of industry and prepares learners for the world of work.
 
The qualification will help you gain an understanding of the engineering industry and the sector and you will cover topics in the engineering core element such as:

  • Customer and client requirements
  • Principles of design
  • Design processes
  • Communication in design.

You will have the choice of studying one standalone Occupational Specialism as listed below:

  • Mechanical engineering
  • Electrical and electronic engineering.

This technical qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed for working in the Engineering industry.

Entry Requirements & Progression

What You'll Need

You will need a grade 5 in Mathematics, a grade 5 in Science (Physics or double award), a grade 4 in English Language and a grade 4 in two further subjects.

This Could Lead to

This Technical Qualification is intended for students who want to progress to a career in the engineering or manufacturing sector. Progression could include direct employment, Apprenticeship or Higher Education study at university.
