The Course in Detail

T Levels are two-year, Level 3 study programmes that have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses and are equivalent to three A Levels.

You will get a mix of hands-on practical training in workshops, classroom theory learning, and a minimum 45-day industry placement with an employer to give you real experience of the workplace. They also provide excellent progression into industry, apprenticeships as well as university.

Students will develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the sector, including:

• the creative economy
• the individual in the creative industries
• cultural context and vocabulary
• audience and consumer needs
• legal and regulatory requirements
• professional standards and conduct in the workplace
• equality, diversity and inclusion requirements
• research skills
• project methodology and administration
• continued professional development

Entry Requirements & Progression

What You'll Need

You will need five GCSEs at grades 4-9, or equivalent, (including English and maths)
 
OR
 
Relevant Level 2 qualification (merit or distinction grade) including GCSE English and maths grades 4-9, or equivalent
 
AND
 
A portfolio of artwork/photography.

This Could Lead to

Upon successful completion of this Level 3 course you can progress to a range of university-level courses, this can include HNC/HND qualifications within the college group or courses at university.

You can also progress into skilled employment or into a higher-level apprenticeship.
