This course will give you the opportunity to develop and update your technical skills including advanced cutting, colour correction and working on long hair-up creations.
Gaining a Level 3 Hairdressing qualification can lead you to more career opportunities, promotion and the skills to offer extended hair dressing services. It is a practical course, which is underpinned by a theoretical background. Your tutors are professionals with qualifications and experience within the hairdressing industry. They will help you to practice your new skills on each other, training heads and with clients in our newly built commercial Kudos Hair salons which are open to the general public as well as staff and students.

Health and safety
The necessary skills for this qualification will be learnt through a variety of situations these will include working in our commercial salon Kudos. Theory lessons are taught through a variety of methods from classroom, independent study, and online resources through our Visual Learning Environment (VLE).
Training at Southampton College will give you a huge advantage as you will learn in our purpose built hair salons, Kudos. You will learn with industry standard equipment working under supervision with real, paying clients to give you a wealth of experience.
