Access to Higher Education Diplomas are designed for people who would like to study at a degree level but currently do not have the necessary qualifications to apply but who do have life experience and a willingness to learn.
This diploma will prepare you for studying at undergraduate level and the knowledge required to progress to a degree in a variety of areas. On successful completion of the diploma, with the required amount of UCAS points, you will be able to enter university and study Occupational Therapy, Radiography, Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic Science, Biomedical Science, Biology, Dental Hygiene and Therapy or Psychology (not an exhaustive list).
The units that you will complete include skills for learning, biology, physics and chemistry. You will be assessed by a variety of methods, including essays, reports and presentations.

You will require GCSE English, maths and biology at grade 4/C or above.
It is advisable to have some experience in care either work or volunteering (depending on your choice of degree).
You will be required to complete an IAG unit “Preparing for Success” and then will be fully enrolled on to the course.
Important Note – This course is fully online therefore you will require access to a PC or laptop; a mobile phone is not suitable.
Upon successful completion, you can go on to university and study a relevant degree of your choice.
You will need to apply to university through UCAS and full support will be given.
