The transition year is a one-year preparation course to prepare you to study for either the T Level in Digital Support Services or T Level in Digital Production Design and Development.
This course consists of an accredited qualification in Digital Technologies as well as practical projects that will help you develop the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours for you to progress to your next steps.

You will be assessed via examination, as well as a series of practical activities that may require you to work independently or as part of a team.
The course will have a weekly employability focus aimed at developing your employability skills, confidence and communication. This will be supported by work experience in an environment relevant to the sector so as to prepare you for the T Level industry placement. Both academic and pastoral support is available throughout the course as well as the support of one of our leading employers on work experience who will help you to apply the theory and skills learnt in college to real life industry applications.
There will also be a requirement to study additional Maths and English which will be at the discretion of the course lead to develop report writing skills and to meet the levels expected for the T level.
This particular course represents a pathway to further progression towards much higher level qualifications that are run by the South Coast Institute of Technology.
