Throughout the year long course, you will be using a range of different styles of texts, both fiction and non-fiction, to learn how to analyse and interpret what is written – after all, we can’t believe everything we read!
You will also have the opportunity to be creative and persuasive in your own writing, using tried and tested techniques while developing your own personal style. And of course, you will be using regular feedback to make improvements in all areas, including the basic foundations of Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar.
As your skills develop, you will know how to approach questions in the final exams so that you are fully prepared and ready to achieve! The course ends in early June with 2 exams which will determine your overall grade. Both exams must be sat on the set dates, and therefore you need to be available for both of these. Dates will be given at the start of the course.
This course is only available to applicants aged 19+ as at 1st September.
Various course days, times and locations are available.
Note – this GCSE English course is free if you have not already achieved this qualification at grade 4/C or above.
