The Course in Detail

This Kickstart programme is designed to give you the skills, confidence and independence to progress further in your studies. It allows you to build on your study skills, soft skills needed for college and employment, as well as giving you the opportunity to research other vocational areas within the college. You will also study English and maths as part of your programme.

  • Introduction to healthy eating

We also run courses that provide you access to the these vocational areas: Art & Design, Hospitality, Media, or Motor Vehicle. There are also other pathways available including Duke of Edinburgh. These will be discussed with you at interview.

Our Kickstart courses can be started throughout the academic year and take place in a range of dedicated classrooms.

Entry Requirements & Progression

What You'll Need

2 GCSEs grade 1 or above with commitment and ability to learn in a college environment. On arrival you will complete an initial assessment to see which level you are working at. You will be required to attend a college interview prior to enrolling onto this course.

When you are ready you can move into a vocational course at college or into work.
