The Course in Detail

This is a Entry 3 qualification that enables you to progress into further learning in the construction sector. You will learn practical skills that enable you to complete common tasks in a range of construction trades including, bricklaying, plumbing and carpentry. You will take this qualification if you wish to improve your manual dexterity to enable you to progress to further learning in within the differen construction trades.

This qualification enables you to develop hand skills before progressing to study a trade of your choice in more detail. All of the units develop your practical skills and enable you to demonstrate your ability to complete common tasks within the construction industry. You will learn tasks such as health and safety, fittings within plumbing, creating halving joints within carpentry as well as, constructing half-brick walls within brick.

You will need a minimum of 9-3 in Maths, English and a keen interest in the construction industry.
